Top 5 places to visit: Islington

by Grace Gordon July 02, 2015

As most of you will know from Instagram, we're based in the beautiful borough of Islington.

I'm always posting & tweeting about my favourite places to go so after a week spent working from the lovely Exmouth market I thought I'd gather my Top 5 picks!

1. ZILOUFS - Breakfast

Set on Upper Street, Ziloufs is a firm breakfast favourite. Serving an eclectic mix of foods it's a locals haunt with a relaxed atmosphere and the perfect Bloody Mary. 10/10 for a place to hang with friends over a Sunday morning full english.

2. CARAVAN - Coffee

If you're a coffee lover chances are you'll already know this Exmouth Market pick. Serving delicious roasts the team at Caravan know their stuff, there might be a little queue for your morning fix but it's definitely worth the wait.

Famed for being Raymond Blanc's pick of the roasts (yep) The Drapers is a must for those searching for the best Sunday lunch in town. A great selection of wine and beers compliments the seasonal menu and the garden area is perfect for weekend afternoons in the sun.

4. TRULLO - Dinner

Nestled a little way down St. Paul's Road off Highbury Corner a lot of Upper Street disciples miss this little gem. It's an Italian with a twist. A minimal menu makes the most of super fresh produce and it's basement dining room has more than a little of the speakeasy about it.

5. THE JOHN SALT - Drinks

There's no shortage of places to drink & be merry in Islington so this one was tough. For a great combination of music & drinks it had to be the John Salt. Get there for happy hour and you might just be able to try a few of the delectable cocktails before the post work rush.
